It applies to visitors, creators, and supporters. If a creator collects or uses your information outside Scriber, that creator may have separate privacy practices that are not controlled by Scriber.

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through platform activity, and limited payment metadata from our payment partners.
Account information
When you create or manage an account, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Password, stored in encrypted or hashed form
- Profile details, creator bios, links, and offering information you choose to publish
- Customer support messages and account preferences
Payment information
Payment processing and creator payouts are handled through Stripe. Scriber does not store full card numbers or bank account credentials. We may receive limited payment and payout metadata such as transaction status, amount, currency, timestamps, payout status, partial card details, and Stripe account identifiers.
Usage information
We automatically collect certain technical and product activity data, including:
- IP address, browser type, referral source, and pages visited
- Device and session information
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep the product working
- Activity related to subscriptions, purchases, and access delivery flows

We use personal information to operate and improve Scriber, including to:
- Create and maintain accounts
- Process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and creator payouts
- Deliver purchased access, product emails, and important account notices

- Analyze performance and improve product reliability

- With creators and supporters: When you support a creator, that creator receives information needed to fulfill the offering and manage the customer relationship, including your name, email address, and transaction details.
- With service providers: We work with vendors that help us run the platform, such as Stripe, hosting providers, infrastructure services, email providers, and analytics or security tools.
- For legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, or enforce our policies.
- In a business transfer: Information may be disclosed as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, or similar corporate transaction.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Creator access to supporter data
A core part of Scriber is that creators can manage their audience relationships directly. When you support a creator, that creator may receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Transaction and subscription details related to the offering you purchased
Creators are responsible for how they use information made available to them and must comply with applicable privacy and marketing laws.
You can turn creator update emails on or off from Your creators → Subscriptions at any time.

Data security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, authenticated account access, and ongoing product and infrastructure review.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access or correct personal information associated with your account
- Request deletion of your account and certain associated data
- Request a copy of your data where required by law
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Manage creator update email preferences for subscriptions or followed creators
